Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric mixed wiring board, in which the electric and optical mixed connection coping with optical interconnection can be realized at a low power consumption and a low cost, while electronic integrated elements are mounted by the conventional IC package, etc.
SOLUTION: In photoelectric mixed wiring boards 1 and 2, an electric wiring 3 and an optical waveguide are formed on the same wiring board, and the wiring board is provided with optical elements 8 and 9 for photoelectrically converting the signal of an electronic integrated element 6 to input/output by an optical signal, a wiring to the optical elements 8 and 9, and a mounting part exposing an electrical terminal 5 for mounting the electronic integrated element 6. By only connecting electric terminals 5 and 10 with each other and mounting the electronic integrated element 6 to the mounting part, a signal can be given and received between the electronic integrated element 6 and wiring boards 1 and 2, at least partly through optical signals.
