To provide a photographing device which drives a correction means so that a correction range can be always effectively utilized.
The photographing device is equipped with a photographic optical system in a photographic lens 2, an image pickup means 4 receiving an object image passing through the photographic optical system, a shake detection means 5 detecting the shake of the image pickup means 4, a correction means 7 correcting image blur on the image pickup means 4 based on shake detection information detected by the detection means 5, a prediction arithmetic means (arithmetic part 10) deciding the correcting operation start position of the correction means 7 according to predicted shake information predicted based on the shake detection information detected by the detection means 5, and a control means (correction means driving means 12) driving and controlling the correction means 7 from the correcting operation start position decided by the arithmetic means (arithmetic part 10) as basic constitution. The device has a pre-exposure shake detection means 8 detecting the shake just before exposure, and an exposure control means 13 controlling the start of the exposure based on the predicted shake information decided by the arithmetic means (arithmetic part 10) and pre-exposure shake information detected by the detection means 8.
