Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a pile fabric having excellent appearance and quality to provide a method for producing the pile fabric.
SOLUTION: This method for producing a pile fabric comprises using a spun yarn comprising a staple A having substantially no substantial crimp and staple B having ≥3/in. number of crimps and ≥3% percentage of crimp in which the staple B is soluble in warm water at ≤90°C and the ratio of the staple A/the staple B is 50/50 to 95/5 by weight to give a pile fabric and treating the pile fabric with a liquid capable of dissolving and removing the crimped staple B to give the objective pile fabric composed of a pile yarn constituted of the staple A having no substantial crimp.
