To prevent the deterioration in the durability of a joint between a piping and a fitting, the separation of the joint, and the resulting leakage of water from the piping to the outside, as a water jet loom is operated at a high speed and widened and as the pressure of picking jet water is enhanced.
This piping device of the water jet loom is characterized by comprising a main body portion having an insertion entrance having a screw portion at one end and a passage having a smaller diameter than the diameter of the insertion entrance and linked to the other end of the insertion entrance, a metal pipe to be inserted into the insertion entrance, and a nut for passing on the pipe to bind to the screw portion. Therein, the main body portion has a step portion connected from the insertion entrance to the passage. The tip portion of the pipe is a large diameter portion having a diameter which is larger than the diameter of the intermediate portion and approximately the same as the diameter of the insertion entrance, and the tip portion and the intermediate portion of the pipe are produced from a single material. The nut is pressed to the large diameter portion in the tip portion of the pipe, when joined.
