Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a plurality of photoreceptors, configured to generate an accurate pseudo synchronization signal.SOLUTION: A pixel clock generation apparatus 120 generates a pseudo synchronization signal which serves as a scan start timing of a second photoreceptor 102, by use of a first synchronization signal which serves as a scan start timing of a first photoreceptor 103. The pixel clock generation apparatus 120 includes: a first pixel clock output section 111 which outputs a first pixel clock so that the number of first pixel clocks counted in a predetermined period may be equal to a standard value; clock generation sections 301-304 which start generating a clock based on the first pixel clock, in synchronization with the first synchronization signal passing with a predetermined period; and pseudo synchronization signal generation sections 311-314 for generating the pseudo synchronization signal when a predetermined number of clocks are counted in response to the first synchronization signal.
