Title:
PLANETARY GEAR TYPE SPEED REDUCING STARTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03164567
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent deformation by a large load in a device for transmitting rotation of a D.C. motor to a pinion through a planetary gear speed reducing means and the like by forming the internal tooth gear of this speed reducing means by connecting numerous ribs, provided radially on the periphery of the gear, by a thin cylinder.

CONSTITUTION: A planetary gear type speed reducing starter is provided with an overrunning clutch 4 slidably fitted at an output shaft 3 coupled to the armature shaft of a D.C. motor 2 as well as a planetary gear speed reducing means 5 for reducing the torque of the armature shaft and transmitting this torque to the clutch outer of the overrunning clutch 4 through the output shaft 3. The planetary gear speed reducing means 5 is formed of an internal tooth gear 20 mounted at a housing 9, a flat gear 11 provided at the armature shaft, and plural planetary gears 12. In this case, the resin made internal tooth gear 20 is provided with numerous ribs 21 integrally and radially formed at its peripheral surface, and the outer ends of these ribs 21 are integrally connected by a thin cylinder 22 to heighten the strength of the internal tooth gear 20.
