PURPOSE: To inexpensively provide a plastic film equipped with uniform leather like characteristics by subjecting a thermoplastic resin compd. containing a leather powder dispersed without being partially flocculated to inflation molding.

CONSTITUTION: A leather like plastic film A is constituted of a thermoplastic resin material 1 such as a vinyl chloride resin and a leather powder 2 dispersed without being partially flocculated and dried so that water content becomes 3wt.% or less. Concretely, 30-70wt.% of the leather powder 2 is mixed with 70-30wt. of the thermoplastic resin compd. and this mixture is subjected to inflation molding to obtain the plastic film. As the leather powder 2 used herein, a ground powder of waste leather or a sanding powder of leather is designated. Further, the leather powder 2 may be one subjected to decoloring treatment or dyeing treatment.
