Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily obtain a plush fabric without the need of any chemical or mechanical treatment for sharpening or splitting the tips of the fibers constituting the pluck parts, also excellent in pill resistance, color developability, dyeability, colorability, and feel such as touch and appearance, and having sophisticated feel like natural fur.
SOLUTION: This pluck fabric has pluck parts consisting of polyester fiber which has the following requirements: (i) formed at least such a kind of polyester as to contain 1.5-7.0mol% of 5-alkali metal sulfoisophthalate unit based on the total acid component as a constituent of the polyester, (ii) there are four or more recesses along the outer periphery of the cross section of the fiber with a flatness number of 2.5-6, (iii) the tips of the pluck parts are not splitted, and, optionally, furthermore, (iv) containing ≥0.5wt.% of inorganic fine particles.
