Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance work efficiency of a pneumatic caisson method by setting a working air pressure lower than normally planned values, made possible by appropriately managing saturation degree of construction ground.SOLUTION: Prior to installing a caisson 10, air is injected into a ground for desaturating the ground, thereby reducing an amount of groundwater flowing into a caisson work room. Specifically, an air feed pipe 20 having an air supply port 21 is inserted into a ground near the location to install the caisson 10, and air is injected into the ground while raising pressure of the supplied air as a depth of the air supply port 21 increases.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
