To provide a pneumatic radial tire for an aircraft capable of enduring to long term use by improving the fatigue resistance of a cord of a crown protecting layer in the pneumatic radial tire for aircraft used under conditions of high inner pressure and a heavy load, and regenerating a tread portion.
The pneumatic radial tire for the aircraft comprises a carcass composed of a plurality of plys extending in a toroid-shape between bead cores 1, and a belt 4 disposed between the outer periphery of the carcass 2 and a tread rubber 3. At least one ply of the carcass has a folded portion wound back from the tire inside to the outside around the bead core. In that case, between a cord layer on the outermost side in a tire radial direction of the belt 4 and the tread rubber 3, the crown protecting layer 5 made from a steel rubber complex element wherein two or more steel linear elements actually formed in a spiral shape at the same pitch are bundled in a generally same phase without twisting, is arranged.
