A band cord 10 comprises a metal cord formed by twisting a plurality of metal filaments 13. A load-elongation curve of the metal cord is formed by a low elastic region YL where an elastic modulus EL extending from an origin P0 is less than 1000 kgf/mm2 and a high elastic region YH where an elastic modulus EH extending continuously to the low elastic region YL via an inflection point P1 is not less than 1000 kgf/mm2 or more, and the inflection point P1 is within the range of the elongation of 1-5%.
