Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a bent or curved conic surface to be polished with a simple composition and few man-hours.SOLUTION: A bent or curved conic surface (21) is grasped as a first surface part (21a) and a second surface part (21b) which are different in a radial direction. A polishing member (11) for polishing the conic surface has first and second parts (11a and 11b) having cross sectional shapes along respective cross sectional shapes of the first surface part and the second surface part. A vibration (an oscillation) along a radial direction of the conic surface is given to the polishing member. Provided are a first link member (17a) and a second link member (17b) which connect movable points (Pma and Pmb) corresponding to both ends of the polishing member to stationary points (Pfa and Pfb) respectively slidably in a vibration direction. The first and second link members (17a and 17b) are arranged in non-parallel so that respective extension lines thereof are nearly orthogonal to a polishing surface of the first or second part (11a or 11b) of the polishing member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
