Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contact charging member which can easily charge a member to be charged electrostaticaly, for example a photo-sensitive element of an electrophotographic copying machine, stably in the contacted condition.
SOLUTION: A contact charging member is made from a polyamide elastomer sheet having a volume resistance value of 103-1012Ω.cm. This can be prepared by forming a polyamide ether elastomer which is a block copolymer of nylon 12 as hard segment and polyalkylene ether as a soft segment, adding to it 24wt.% acetylene black as an electroconductiveness generating agent followed by mixing together and dispersing, and extruding the obtained substance in molten state from a slit die.
