PURPOSE: The titled elastomer, consisting of a specific aromatic polyester as a hard segment and a polyether, etc. as a soft segment with an amount extracted with acetone below a specific value, and having improved heat resistance and elastic recovery.
CONSTITUTION: An elastomer obtained by extracting and removing a low-molecular weight substance, and unreacted substances, etc. from a polyester elastomer consisting of (A) a hard segment of (i) an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, e.g. terephthalic acid, as an acidic component and (ii) an aliphatic and/or alicyclic dihydroxy compound, e.g. ethylene glycol or cyclohexanedimethanol, as a glycol component and (B) a soft segment of a polyether, e.g. polyethylene glycol, and/ or aliphatic polyester with a solvent to give an amount extracted with acetone ≤5wt%.
