To provide a method for producing a polyester fiber structure hardly causing a permanent set in fatigue in the thickness direction, having excellent bulkiness, cushioning properties and stretchability in a fiber structure comprising a face side fabric and a lining fabric and middle yarns connecting them.
This polyester fiber structure is characterized in that the structure is the polyester fiber structure comprising at least the face side fabric and the lining fabric and the middle yarns connecting them, the middle yarns have structures of sheath yarns circling around core yarns and are composed of the core yarns having polyester fibers with ≥10 dtex single fiber fineness, 5-30 number of filaments, 0.45-0.60 amorphous orientation degree and the value obtained by dividing the crystal size of plane indices (1 bar 05 face hereinafter described as 105) by the crystal size of plane indices (100) or plane indices (010) of ≥1.2 and the sheath yarns having polyester fibers with ≥15 filament number, ≥1.36 specific gravity, 0.1-0.4 amorphous orientation degree, and either of the values obtained by dividing the crystal size of plane indices (105) by the crystal size of plane indices (100) or plane indices (010) is ≤1.2 and the circling angle of the sheath yarns is ≤60 degrees.
