PURPOSE: To obtain woven fabrics with brightness and good touch due to hard twisting by weaving polyester fibers including a specific phosphorus compound and an alkaline earth metal compound forming fine particles by precipitation, then thinning the woven fabric by alkali treatment and dyeing the product.
CONSTITUTION: A phosphorus compound of formula I (R1, R2 are monovalent organic groups; M is metal or monovalent organic group; (n) is 1 or 0) and an alkaline earth metal compound such as calcium organic carboxylate, both of which form fine particles by precipitation, are added to polyester by 0.1 to 0.3wt.% in total, based on the polyester, and the polyester is formed into fibers so that they meet following properties: the crystal size of (100) surface X, ≥40; amorphous orientation, 0.3 ≤Δna ≤ 0.09; yarn properties, thermal stress peak temperature, 140°C≤ST; Strength at 10% elongation, 3.0g/d ≤S10 ≤3.5g; Boiling water shrinkage, 0%≤BWS≤9.0%. The fibers are woven, subjected to alkali-thinning treatment and then dyed.
