Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide a polyester which is used for a packaging material and excellent in mechanical strengths, transparency, gas barrier properties, etc. CONSTITUTION:A polyester which is prepd. by polycondensing a diol component with a dicarboxylic acid component comprising 20-100mol% diphenylsulfonedioxydiacetic acid or ester-forming deriv. thereof and 80-0mol % phenylenedioxydiacetic acid or ester-forming deriv. thereof, and a polyester which is prepd. by polycondensing a diol component with a dicarboxylic acid component comprising 52-99mol% diphenylsulfonedioxydiacetic acid or ester- forming deriv. thereof and 48-1mol% isophthalic acid or ester-forming deriv. therof.
