Abstract:

To provide a polyester resin which can advantageously be used as a material for blow-molded articles excellent in transparency and dimensional heat stability against heat.

The polyester resin for blow-molded articles has ethylene terephthalate as its major repeating unit, and contains at least one metal compound selected from among a Mg compound, a Ca compound, a Co compound, an Mn compound and a Zn compound, and a P compound, an Sb compound and a Ti compound and/or a Ge compound simultaneously with a number of deposited particles having a size of not smaller than 1 μm and composed of at least one of an Mg metal atom, a Ca metal atom, a Co metal atom, an Mn metal atom, and a Zn metal atom, and a P atom of not greater than 2,000 pieces/mm2.
