Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound useful for the formation of metal- chelate protein conjugates in which the metals are strongly bound to the proteins and which can selectively deliver the metals to target positions by reacting an amino-protected α-amino acid with an amino acid amide, removing the protecting group, and subsequently reducing the product.
SOLUTION: (C) This polysubstituted diethylenetriamine {for example, a compound of the formula [R1, R2, R1' and R2' are each H, a 1-15C (branched) alkyl, a 1-15C (branched) alkene group, a 6-14C aryl, para-nitrobenzyl or the like; R3, R4, R3' and R4' are each one of the groups of R1 except para- nitrobenzyl]} is obtained by reacting (A) an amino-protected α-amino acid with (B) an amino acid amide, removing the protecting group from the protected amino acid portion, and subsequently reducing the product.
