Abstract:
PURPOSE: The titled foam having improved utility in a water-containing state, providing beautiful makeup finish, being mode into sponge which is rapidly and readily softened and shows effects when water is added to the foam in a dry state, obtained by impregnating polyvinyl alcohol foam with a wter-soluble polyhydric alcohol (aqueous solution).
CONSTITUTION: Polyvinyl alcohol foam for makeup impregnated with a water-soluble polyhydric alcohol or its aqueous solution. Glycerin, polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, dipropylene glycol, sorbitol, maltitol, or 1,3-butylene glycol is used as the water-soluble polyhydric alcohol. An aqueous solution obtained from them has ≥1wt% concentration.
