Title:
POROUS HOLLOW FIBER AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3389722
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a porous hollow fiber of fine denier which has a sufficient number of hollow parts continuing in the fiber direction and is suitably useful in the clothing applications such as inner wears or sport wears because of its light weight and see-through prevention property.
CONSTITUTION: This porous type hollow fiber is made of a thermoplastic polymer A having at least eleven hollow parts B each having more than 0.14μm pore diameter and a filament fineness of from 0.4-5 denier. In the high-order processing of the fiber, only a very small part of the hollow parts is collapsed to keep a highly hollow property and this is highly effective for see-through prevention.
