Abstract:
To provide a portable electronic device which performs efficient, intuitive and also familiar conversation with a user and is a form of an elec tronic pocketbook which is easily accepted by the public.
This portable electronic device includes plural connectors 118a to 118d where plural tokens can be attached and detached. Each token has a memory means 132. The means 132 stores data that are used when the device performs respective functions represented by the tokens. At least one among the connectors 118a to 118d is made to perform communication with a token (attachment token) to be attached to it. The connectors 118a to 118d are arranged to display the array of the attachment token that can be selected by a user.
