PURPOSE: To provide the iron which is less bulky at the time of carrying and is made lighter by providing the iron with a handle, steel plate and stopper, etc., and applying the hot air of a drier, etc., to the steel plate to heat the steel plate for stretching the wrinkles of clothing.

CONSTITUTION: A user takes the iron in a folded state out of a case at the time of use and widens the steel plate part 2 by removing the stopper 3. The user grips the handle 1 in this state, holds the drier with another hand and applies the hot air of the drier to the thin steel plate part 2, thereby heating the steel plate part 2 so that the clothing, etc., can be pressed. The user presses the handle 1 from above and moves the iron together with the drier laterally, to stretch the wrinkles of the clothing with the steel plate part 2. A groove 4 for evading buttons is formed in the steel plate part 2.
