The method is for executing the postprocessing to a laminated precursor nonwoven web including a plurality of layers made of thermoplastic artificial fibers and at least one layer made of cellulose staple natural fibers. The degree of the maximum size of the fine pores is reduced by consolidating the web in the vertical direction. A precursor web and a consolidated nonwoven web to be obtained, and similarly use applications for medical treatment of the product web are included in the method.
