Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the optical isolator with which a higher isolation rate is obtainable.
CONSTITUTION: A polarized light separating and synthesizing element 1 is arranged on an incident side and a polarized light separating and synthesizing element 2 on an exit side. A first dextrorotatory polarized light rotator 3 and a first levorotatory polarized rotator 13 are arranged in the respective optical paths of the two polarized light beams separated and emitted from the polarized light separating and synthesizing element 1. Likewise a first nonreciprocal optical rotatory element 4, a polarizer 5 and a second nonreciprocal optical rotatory element 6 are arranged in the optical paths of the two polarized light beams. A second dextrorotatory polarized light rotator 17 and a second levorotatory polarized rotator 7 are likewise arranged in the respective optical paths of the two polarized light beams.
