Abstract:
To improve maintainability and reduce weight by improving the environmental condition around the gate control circuit of a power conversion apparatus for a rolling stock.
In the power conversion apparatus, a power conversion unit 6 including semiconductor elements constituting the three-phase inverter 3 of a power conversion circuit, a plurality of gate control circuits 7 which supply gate signals to the semiconductor elements, and a filter capacitor connected between the DC terminals P and N of the power conversion circuit is contained in a common housing 20, the filter capacitor is integrated with a semiconductor cooling unit, and the plurality of gate control circuits 7 are arranged on the lower surface of the filter capacitor.
