Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power conversion device that can be miniaturized by eliminating a semiconductor switch, a braking resistor, and a control circuit thereof for regenerative energy processing in which a rotation energy caused by the moment of inertia of an induction motor and load is processed as thermal energy in decelerating the induction motor.SOLUTION: A power conversion device includes: a forward converter that rectifies an AC voltage of an AC power source and converts it into a DC voltage; a DC intermediate circuit that includes a smoothing capacitor; an inverse converter that converts a DC voltage of the DC intermediate circuit into an AC voltage; a DC voltage detection circuit that detects a voltage of the DC intermediate circuit; and a control unit that computes slip using the primary resistance value (R1), secondary resistance value (R2), and primary current value (i1) of the induction motor, and the excitation current value (im) that is corrected according to a detected value of the DC voltage detection circuit, and during deceleration or regeneration by the induction motor, superposes the output voltage of a frequency component that is no greater than a frequency value corresponding to the computed slip onto a variable-voltage, variable-frequency output voltage.
