Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation system of high generation efficiency by taking out a high temperature electromagnetic fluid, produced by combustion synthesis, to a MHD power generator and taking out as power.SOLUTION: A power generation system 100 by combustion synthesis includes a fuel supply unit 110 for mixing particle powder containing silicon and particle powder containing silicon dioxide, and nitrogen gas and supplying the mixture as fuel, a combustion reaction unit 120 producing a high temperature electromagnetic fluid, a pressure control unit 220 for detecting and controlling the pressure in the container of the combustion reaction unit, a temperature control unit 210 for detecting and controlling the temperature in the container of the combustion reaction unit, and a MHD power generator 410 for generating power by passing the high temperature electromagnetic fluid, supplied from the combustion reaction unit, through a magnetic field generated by magnets, thereby generating a voltage between the electrodes. The high temperature electromagnetic fluid is produced while controlling the pressure in the container of the combustion reaction unit to 1 MPa or less, and controlling the temperature at 2000°C-3500°C, and the MHD power generator 410 generates power by using this high temperature electromagnetic fluid.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
