PURPOSE: To provide a power transmission chain belt for a variable pulley transmission capable of reducing noise at operation time, capable of inexpensively and easily performing assembling and capable of improving durability and the service life.

CONSTITUTION: A power transmission chain belt 10 is arranged side by side, and includes two half-chains 12, 14 offset by one-half pitch. The respective half-chains have a plurality of interlaced inner links 30, and the respective inner links 30 have a pair of depending toe parts to form a passageway to receive a strut 130 that extends beyond a lateral width of the half-chains. A part of the strut 130 extending beyond one half-chain is substantially supported by a strut contact surface arranged adjacently to an outer flank surface in the toe part of the other half-chain link 30 so that the strut 130 is substantially fully supported across its full transverse width.
