Terminal gates 10 attached to a plurality of container terminals, a pre-gate 18 commonly used for the container terminals, and a reservation center are connected through a communication network. At the pre-gate 18, a centralized reception means is provided to read data from information recording means such as ID tags mounted on container trailers 14 and 16 to be collated with reservation at the reservation center for container reception processes. At the terminal gate, a reading means is provided to read the information recording means mounted on the trailer for a passage confirmation process.
