Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prediction method predicting material rupture through a process where a deformation route is significantly changed such as collision deformation after molded in which the dangerousness of an edge part rupture where there is crack in a plate end part and distortion gradient from the end part to inside is accurately and quantitatively evaluated by the finite element method.SOLUTION: A prediction method of edge part rupture comprises: a first step of inputting hole widening ratios acquired by hole widening tests of two or more cones having different apex angles; a second step of calculating two or more different breaking limit stresses and two or more different stress gradients in a radial direction on the basis of the two or more different hole widening ratio data; and a third step of calculating a breaking criteria based on a relationship between the two or more breaking limit stresses and the two or more stress gradients, and evaluates an edge part as rupture when maximum principal stress obtained by a numerical analysis using the finite element method and the stress gradient between adjacent elements reach the breaking criteria. Moldability of a material is evaluated based on an analysis result obtained by executing the first-third steps as a series of steps.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
