PURPOSE: To obtain a bulky raw silk efficiently, by bundling cocoon filaments with a filament collecting quide, bringing the bundled cocoon filaments into contact with a rotating body, pulling up the filaments, peeling the filaments from the rotating body, accumulating the filaments in a container, and drying the accumulated filaments under no tension.
CONSTITUTION: Cocoon filaments 2 are collected by a filament collecting quide 4 while removing the bending of the filament path, brought into contact with a rotating body 6 covered with a member having a high frictional force and pulled up. A peeling apparatus 7 is rotated at a surface speed equal to that of the rotating body 6 not to wind the pulled up raw silk in the same direction as that of the rotating body 6. Thus, the raw silk is peeled from the rotating body 6. The raw silk is dropped naturally, accumulated in a container 8 and dried.
