Title:
PREPARATION OF O-SUBSTITUTED HYDROXY-AMMONIUM SALT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06199760
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prepare the subject compd. by adding a mineral acid and an inert substance to an acetone oxime ether and distilling off until fractions don't contain acetone.

CONSTITUTION: To a corresponding acetone oxime ether of the formula (R is a 1-5C alkyl), water, a mineral acid of HX (X is a halogen or hydrogensulfate) (e.g. hydrochloric acid) and an inert substance such as pentane, cyclohexane and benzene are mixed and reacted at 0-100°C. Acetone produced by the reaction is distilled off until fractions don't contain acetone, to obtain the objective compd. of the formula R-O-NH2.HX. O-substd. hydroxyl amines are known and useful as intermediates for crop plant protecting agents, drugs and other fine chemicals. Acetone oxime ether having a low molecular weight substituent can be obtained batchwise in a standard apparatus.
