Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prepare an org. monomeric or polymeric compd. having tert- butyloycarbonyl groups.
CONSTITUTION: An org. compd. having at least one heteroatom with an acidic proton is allowed to react with di-tert-butyl dicarbonate at 0-80°C in an inert solvent in the presence of 0.01-10 mol.% catalyst (e.g. N,N-dimethyl-4- aminopyridine) based on the amt. of the compd. to be converted.
