Abstract:
To provide a press molded product manufacturing method that can improve strength as needed, a press molded product, a center pillar outer and a hot press molding die.SOLUTION: The press molded product manufacturing method comprises steps of: heating a differential-thickness steel plate comprising a linear thickened wall part up to an Ac3 transformation point or more; hot press molding the differential-thickness steel plate heated up to the Ac3 transformation point or more using a hot press molding die to mold the plate into an intermediate press molded product; and quenching the intermediate press molded product by cooling the product while mold-clamping the product with the hot press molding die.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
