PURPOSE: To prevent a movable plate from being quickly closed, fingers from being sandwiched and the trouble of a hinge device by providing the hinge device having a cam shaped rotor on which a plurality of holding faces capable of holding a plurality of arbitrary opening states of the movable plate are formed.
CONSTITUTION: When the lock of a movable plate 10 is released, the movable plate 10 is opened until the spring load of a coil spring 11 is balanced with the weight of the movable plate 10 side about an axis 14. Since the planar holding face 15 of a cam shaped rotor 12 abuts on a receiving portion 13, the opening state of the movable plate 10 can effectively be maintained. This opening angle is set to an optimus angle when clothes or the like are set. The movable plate can be engaged at an arbitrary position, is not quickly closed nor fully opened even during overload, so that the trouble is not generated.
