Abstract:

To provide an iron provided with a bottom part having differently-shaped vertices, for which a user can select the tip part in the optimum shape so as to iron various articles.

The iron is provided with a soleplate 1 having an ironing surface. The soleplate 1 is provided with three vertices (P1, P2 and P3) having angles different from each other. Two of the vertices P2 and P3 of the soleplate are connected to each other by a convex curved side forming an edge C of the soleplate 1 on one side and are connected to the third vertex (P3) by substantially straight or slightly convex curved lines forming other edges (D1 and D2) of the soleplate 1 on the other side.
