Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a high turbine efficiency in a wide condition area in regard to variation of a pressure condition or the like of steam supplied into a steam turbine.SOLUTION: A steam turbine has a pressure reaction opening or closing nozzle mechanism, in which all or some of the nozzles in a series of nozzles are self responsive to one of several different pressure differences, which are predetermined pressure differences between upstream side pressure and downstream side pressure for the respective nozzles, in response to pressure fluctuation of steam supplied to the steam turbine, and an increase or decrease in the number of opened or closed nozzles is automatically adjusted in response to the pressure fluctuation of the steam supplied to the steam turbine.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
