Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a pressure roller from the peripheral surface of which static electricity is discharged to prevent fiber-lapping-up during operation.
CONSTITUTION: The pressure roller for spinning preparing machine moves fibers cooperating with a counter roller 5. The pressure roller is constituted of a bearing journal 2 consisting at least partially of metal, a roller core 1 at the both end of which is supported by the bearing journal, a cover layer 3 of elastic material such as silicone plastic provided on the peripheral surface of the roller core and a coating body 4 which consists of soil resistant and abrasion resistant plastic such as polytetrafluoroethylene to which chalk powder is added and formed on the peripheral surface of the cover layer. Electrically conductive materials of metallic powder and/or graphite powder, etc., are added to the cover layer 3 and coating body 4 in a finely distributed state and electrically conductive element 6 is placed on the peripheral surface of the coating body 4 to discharge static electricity generated on the surface of the pressure roller during operation.
