PURPOSE: To carry out efficient recovery by connecting a pressure cylinder having a tapered hole to the lower part of a cooling cylinder and connecting a drain pipe to the tapered hole.
CONSTITUTION: A soln. injected into the cylinder is frozen by the cooling medium flowing in an upper jacket 14 and tightly combinded with a tensile wire 8. The ice crystal is passed through the cylinder along with the wire, introduced into the pressure cylinder 3, compressed by the inner surface of the tapered hole of the pressure cylinder and pressurized. The freezing point of the ice crystal is lowered by the pressurization, and the part of the ice crystal having a high content of a solute is melted. Since the outer surface of the ice crystal is out of contact with a guide groove 21, pressure is not produced, the guide groove forms the low-pressure region in the tapered hole, and the liq. concentrate flows into the guide groove 21 along the surface of the tapered hole. The liq. concentrate is discharged to the outside of the concentrator from a drain pipe 20 and recovered.
