PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve a bottleneck of a combine in which a power train is installed on one side of the reaping frame, having a weight unbalance, unable to execute a smooth sliding reap, and a conveying barrier of reaped cereals because the pre-treating device for reaping has a driving shaft passing through inside of the device. SOLUTION: The pretreating device for reaping which have a right and left pair of cereal rod raising devices and cereal rod gathering up and conveying devices 2, 2' at the lower position of the back, a reaping device 3 at a lower position integrally placed and installed on a frame, is installed, free to slide left and right, on the bottom of the reaping support frame through a sliding device 9. The power train of the pretreating device for reaping is constituted by installing the reaping device capable to be driven on one side and the cereal rod gathering up and conveying device capable to be driven on the other side to the forward direction of the device. The pair of the cereal rod raising devices are driven from both right and left power trains. The transmission system connected from the traveling vehicle is composed of an universal coupling axis 10 placed upper side taking a roundabout route of the inside of the pretreating device for reaping.
