Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make early release of a host computer compatible with increase of processing speed.
SOLUTION: In a printer, three types of data transfer mode are provided, namely a mode via an auxiliary storage device, a first bypass mode and a second bypass mode. At the mode via the auxiliary storage device, data is transferred from a communication task 11 to an image generation task 14 through a first buffer memory 21, an HD writing task 12, HDD 10, an HD reading task 13 and a second buffer memory 22. At the first bypass mode, data is transferred from the communication task 11 through the second buffer memory 22 without passing through HDD 10. At the second bypass mode, data is transferred from the HD writing task 11 through the second buffer memory 22 without passing through HDD 10. The data transfer mode is switched based on the presence or absence of remaining data in a transfer route.
