Abstract:

To provide a printer and a print control system capable of user's easily grasping data by adding a character string and an image based on a e-mail address of a sender or performing printing with a set format when e-mail data transmitted from a portable terminal is printed by the printer.

In printing respective e-mail data by a data creation program 71 stored in a cellular phone 16, this printer generates additional data for creating additional data for adding the character string and the image (S66) and format setting data for setting a format of each print item (S63) when a sender e-mail address is a specific one. A small portable printer 1 adds the character string and the image according to the created additional data and the format setting data (S52, S54) and performs printing (S11) after changing the format (S56).
