Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable conveyance abnormality of a sheet to be found at an early stage.SOLUTION: A printer 10 comprises: a discharge port 18 for discharging a sheet S; a printing portion 14 performing printing on the sheet S; a movable portion 161 which is arranged in a sheet conveyance path T3 between the printing portion 14 and the discharge port 18, and can reciprocate in a direction of separating from a conveyance surface P of the sheet S and in a direction of approaching the conveyance surface P; a detection portion 162 for detecting a state of the movable portion 161; and a determining portion for determining conveyance abnormality of the sheet S. The movable portion 161 is brought into a protruding state where a part thereof protrudes beyond the conveyance surface P to the opposite side when the sheet S does not pass through and is pushed by the sheet S to be brought into a non-protruding state when the sheet S passes through. The determination portion determines conveyance abnormality of the sheet S on the basis of a state of the movable portion 161 detected by the detecting portion 162.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
