PURPOSE: To reduce the trouble of an operator by making such an arrangement that the perforation of a printing sheet is first set to a set point and then the first line of the next page is adjusted to a print position by feeding the paper by a specified amount.
CONSTITUTION: A perforation set point 2' is provided at such a position which can be easily seen by the operator, for instance at a position on the case body made of transparent material (position shown by arrow Y) and by this the operator need not to remove a cover form the case body or move a belt unit. Since the length from the set point 2' to a hammer print position (corresponds to the center of a platen 3) is constant, it is possible to set the first line of the next page to the print position by simply feeding the printing paper 1 by a length corresponding to the difference between the length of a unit page, for instance 11 inches or 12 inches, and said length.
