Abstract:
To provide a compact driving device having no play relative to a printing cylinder.
A printing cylinder designed to be driven by a rotary press unit which has a side wall portion for supporting the cylinder in a cantilever-like fashion and in which the cylinder is coupled to a spindle which is rotatably supported in a tubular member which is in turn rotatably supported in the side wall portion, characterised in that a motor 7 for driving the printing cylinder 1 is disposed in the tubular member 6, while it is fixed relative to the spindle 3.
