Abstract:
To provide a printing device capable of correctly adapting and detecting a meandering amount of a conveyor belt whose end parts are convexoconcave even though changing a conveyance speed, and to provide a meandering amount detection method therefor.SOLUTION: A displacement amount in a belt width direction at an end part position of a conveyance belt 13 is measured by each of displacement sensors 23 placed at a plurality of measurement points that are separated in a conveyance direction while counting pulses of a rotary encoder 25 to measure a movement amount of the conveyance belt 13. At this time, the displacement amount at the same place of the conveyance belt at each measurement point is measured from the measuring movement amount and a known distance between the measurement points. Then, a difference between displacement amounts at the same places, that are measured at one measurement point and another measurement point is taken to determine meandering amounts at the other measurement point with respect to the one measurement point, and a printing position of an image at each of print-heads PU1 to PU6 is shifted so as to offset the meandering amounts.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
