A label creation device 1 includes: a platen roller 66; a printing head 61; a casing 2; a sensor unit 100 detecting a predetermined reference position of a printing target tape 3A; and a sensor arrangement unit 102 in which the sensor unit 100 is movably arranged. The sensor arrangement unit 102 includes: a generally horizontal mount surface 103; a through-hole 104; and a rack member 105 extending generally horizontally. The sensor unit 100 includes: a sensor main body 101; an engagement leg part 107 having a lower end engaged with a lower portion of the mount surface 103; and a spring member 600 fixed to a lower portion of the sensor main body 101, and applying a generally horizontal elastically urging force so that the sensor unit 100 can be engaged with the rack member 105 from a generally horizontal direction.
