Abstract:

To stably produce an artificial slate having uniform basic performance over the entire surface, excellent in designability and having high-grade appearance.

This artificial slate is produced through a kneading step in which a matrix material containing a matrix resin and a filler and granular natural stones are charged into a kneader to obtain a composition for the artificial slate and a molding step in which the composition is molded to obtain a platelike molding. The amount of the granular natural stones charged in the kneading step is 30-90 wt.% of the total amount of the matrix material and the granular natural stones, and the flow resistance of the composition used in the molding step is 0.5-5t.
