Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce unevenness in physical characteristics of a carbon material and to produce a carbon material having very stable quality.
CONSTITUTION: Raw coke is heat-treated at 600-800°C, pulverized to ≤15μm average particle diameter and used as at least one kind of starting material in aggregate as starting material for producing a carbon material. A binder is added to the aggregate and they are kneaded, secondarily pulverized, compacted and fired or further graphitized if necessary. The objective carbon material is produced through the conventional processes.
